The Global Fund Malaria projects entailed increasing universal access to Long Lasting

Insecticide treated Nets (LLINs) and promoting people’s Behavior towards the uptake and use

of LLINS. Under this components LLINs were distributed to pregnant women and children <1

year at health facilities whilst Community outreach activities crucial in the promotion of LLINs

were routinely carried out by Kabilo Representatives (KRs) and Positive Deviant Individuals

(PDIs) in the form of home visits and counselling.
